1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the services of SimplyWell Private Practice, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service.

2. Services

We provide virtual therapy sessions to clients worldwide. Services are delivered by qualified professionals in accordance with applicable laws and ethical guidelines.

3. Therapeutic Approach

Our practice utilises evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to individual client needs.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

4.1 Attend sessions punctually.

4.2 Actively engage in the therapeutic process.

4.3 Adhere to agreed-upon treatment plans.

5. Appointments and Cancellations

5.1 Scheduling: Appointments are scheduled in advance and confirmed upon payment. Clients can request specific times based on availability, and consistent schedules are encouraged to support the therapeutic process.

5.2 Cancellation Policy:

5.2.1 A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without incurring a fee.

5.2.2 Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) or no-shows are charged at the full session rate, as this time is reserved specifically for you.

5.3 Grace Period: For virtual appointments, there is a 10-minute grace period before a session is considered canceled.

5.4 How to Cancel or Reschedule: To make changes, please contact the practice assistant directly via email at carrie@simplywellpsychology.com.

6. Fees and Payment

6.1 Standard Fee: The current rate for a 50-minute psychotherapy session is £280 (excluding VAT).

6.2 Preferred Rates: If a different rate has been agreed upon, it will remain consistent for the first 12 months of your engagement.

6.3 Payment Methods:

6.3.1 Payments are accepted via Retag, bank transfer, or Revolut.

6.3.2 All payments must be settled at least 3 days prior to the session to confirm the booking.

6.4 Additional Services: Fees for group therapy, workshops, or additional services will be communicated separately, based on the specific offering.

7. Confidentiality

We are committed to maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical standards. However, confidentiality may be breached if:

7.1 There is a risk of harm to the client or others.

7.2 Disclosure is required by law.

8. Use of Website

8.1 Content: The content on our website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.

8.2 Third-Party Links: Our website does not contain links to third-party sites.

9. Emergency Contact Information

Our services are not suitable for crisis intervention. In emergencies, please contact local emergency services or helplines.

10. Termination Policy

Ending the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative process designed to ensure closure and

readiness:

10.1 Client-Initiated Termination:

10.1.1 Clients are encouraged to provide at least one session’s notice if they wish to terminate therapy.

10.1.2 A final session is recommended to review progress, reflect on the therapeutic journey, and discuss strategies for maintaining well-being.

10.2 Therapist-Initiated Termination:

10.2.1 If the therapist needs to terminate the relationship (e.g., due to ethical concerns, scheduling conflicts, or other reasons), clients will be given appropriate notice (typically at least two sessions) to ensure a smooth transition.

10.2.2 Assistance will be provided in finding another therapist or resource if needed.

10.3 Mutual Agreement:

10.3.1 Termination may occur when both parties agree that therapy goals have been met. This is often celebrated as a sign of progress and completion.

10.4 Important Considerations:

10.4.1 Final invoices should be settled before the last session.

10.4.2 Any unused prepaid sessions will be refunded in alignment with practice policies.

10.4.3 Records will be securely maintained as per UK law and GDPR requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

SimplyWell Private Practice is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
